Wine Release Dinner - Sunday March 10th 2013

We are very excited to be releasing a new PIERINI wine in the coming weeks! 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Runaway.

On Saturday, January 12th 2013 at 10am we will be in Oceanside at Fifty Barrels Winery to do some blending to prepare for bottling in February. Get a behind the scenes look at how Pierini chooses to blend different varietals and decides when a wine is ready for the bottle.

On Saturday February 19th 2012, from 9:30 am - 1 pm, on the Pierini Vineyard, we will be hosting a pruning event! Come be a part of this unique opportunity to learn the techniques involved in growing premium wine grapes on Pierini Vineyard. Also, join us Saturday evening in Atascadero where plenty of free wine will be poured accompanied with live music by KJ at Haven Wine Bistro in appreciation of your hard work!

On Saturday, March 12th, from 9am - 3pm, Perini will be hosting a Wine Bottling Event at  Fifty Barrels in Oceanside, Ca.
Come be a part of the wine making process!
Pierini Wine is looking for a good 'crew' of 15-20 people to assist with bottling. 9am to noon shift, or noon to 3pm.
Sturdy shoes, old clothes, and good work ethic a must!

On Thursday December 2nd,from 6-9pm, Jan will be pouring Pierini wine at a private house party in Long Beach (hosted by Angie & Mary Landis). Exclusively Pierini Wine Tasting - 4 PIERINI wines for $15; 4 wines + food for $20 (The tasting will include: 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, 2005 Lovechild, 2005 Syrah (limited supply!), & 2005 Cab Franc Turkish Olive Oils will also be available to taste.

On Saturday December 11th, from 7 to 11pm, Pierini Wine will be the exclusive wine for sale at ALLOW @ Avia. It consists of 11 artists, live & exhibited art, music, food, wine, and a silent auction. Hotel Avia has a special hotel rate (actually $99 per night, not $139 as the invite says). Proceeds from the event will benefit the PFLAG Speakers Bureau, working to educate audiences in Long Beach & Orange County about the GLBT community. This event is open to the public! Hotel Avia is buying Pierini Wine and serving ONLY Pierini Wine at the event!

The relationship with Michael's is much more than just having our wines in a wonderful Italian restaurant. Growing up as an Italian-American, I was fortunate to experience the amazing cultural foods and the homemade wines which were considered part of the meal every day. Our foods were created primarily to complement the wines we made. So it’s been an incredible opportunity for Pierini to profile six of our exciting new wines with such an eclectic and creative menu of brilliance at Michael’s. Come support Pierini and you will clearly understand the passion we feel of being a part of this amazing restaurant.

On September 18th we will be bottling in Oceanside.  The time will be 9:30 am until 1:30pm.  This will be our final bottling for the year.  It is time to make way for the 2010 Vintage.  If you are in the neighborhood please feel to stop in and catch the excitement.  The address is 3800 Oceanic #106, Oceanside, California.

On October 9th Fifty Barrels will have their annual crush party.  This is a must attend event.  We at Pierini will be in attendance as always.  Live bands, food, and wine tasting.  All Pierini wine club members who attend will get a barrel tasting of up coming wines.  Please check facebook or the website for additional information and entry fee.

September release for the wine club will most likely be scheduled during the first week of October.  More specific information to come!!!  You will be receiving the 2005 Cabernet Franc.  Without question this wine will last years in the bottle.  The most descriptive single word that comes to mind is "elegance".  The nose is powerful and full of spice.  Harvest was difficult in 2005 due a fire we endured in late August.  However, 5 years later the Cabernet Franc (hardest hit fruit in the vineyard) while dressed in medium toasted French Oak, brings amazing texture, smoke, black currant, and spice that holds up to Duck, smoked meats, and hard Italian cheese!!!!  Wow such a great surprise. 

We only produced 24 cases and will most likely sell out of this wine by January.



Thanks to Angie, Jo, Melissa, Sam, Michelle, Chris and Trish...Lovechild 2006 was born! Great blend of cabernet and syrah. Look for this wine in November. Only 35 cases produced...it wont last long.

What's Happening at Pierini

Saturday 11/21 was a day to remember!!!  The bottling effort went almost seamless.  The best news is, we have some amazing new wines headed your way.


The 2007 Merlot is another big hit!  It once again defies the stigma of "Sideways."   She won't disappoint you.


The 2006 Zinfandel is absolutely incredible.  After 3 years in French oak this wine still has the power to push fruit.  We hope to have this out by Christmas but no promises......
